The man charged with the murder of Christchurch realtor Yanfei Bao has begun making his closing statements to the jury

The man charged with the murder of Christchurch realtor Yanfei Bao has begun making his closing statements to the jury

Tingjun Cao's accused of killing Bao in July last year, and has been defending himself at trial.

He's reiterating claims police falsified and planted evidence.

Today he's pinpointed two officers who interviewed him, and a scientist, accusing them of lying to the court.

Cao is often not looking directly at the jury, sometimes turning his back and speaking to the empty dock on the opposite side.

The Crown finished closings earlier, calling their case a slam dunk.
