    A train has hit a person in Levin this morning - north of Wellington


    A Kiwirail spokesperson says the collision with the southbound Capital Connection train happened just before 7 this morning .

    The train remains stopped.

    Passengers disembarked after 9.30 and were put on buses.

    Kiwirail says this evenings northbound service may also be replaced by a bus - and staff are being supported.
