Seventh-seeded Egyptian Salma Hany triumphed in a five-game thriller to end Belgian Tinne Gilis' tournament.

The White Ferns are making more inroads into Sri Lanka's batting order, as the tourists chase 246, in the second one-day cricket international in Nelson.

After a Maddy Green century led New Zealand to 245 for seven, the Sri Lankans were 101 for four a short time ago, after 23 overs.

And the Wellington Phoenix men remain confident of making the post-season ... despite slumming near the bottom of the A-League football ladder.
