A Police search is continuing for three young people, who escaped Auckland Oranga Tamariki facilities on Tuesday night

A Police search is continuing for three young people, who escaped Auckland Oranga Tamariki facilities on Tuesday night

OT says six young people absconded from two community remand homes in Hillsborough and Northcote.

Police say three have been found, and they're working to locate the other three.

Oranga Tamariki says from time to time young people will abscond from the community remand homes.

Once located, these young people are assessed to find the most suitable remand placement option for them, factoring in their absconding.
