A woman's landed herself before court today after allegedly throwing acid over a man in the Wellington suburb of Johnsonville

The man was treated by ambulance at the Sim Street property just after 11 last night, for burns to his arm.

The 51-year-old woman thought to be responsible fled the scene but was found by Police.

She's been taken into custody and will be in court this morning.

Police say they're continuing to investigate.
