A man who allegedly sparked an evacuation at a West Auckland mall is expected in Auckland District Court today

Officers tracked two people to New Lynn Mall on Saturday afternoon, following reports of a person being robbed by two men and threatened with a firearm in a neighbouring suburb.

The incident saw the mall locked down and moviegoers urgently ushered out of screenings.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with aggravated robbery - a second person is still on the run.
