A teenager's died in Auckland City Hospital after he was involved in a serious crash in Kumeu on Friday night

A car crashed into a house on the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway - after failing to stop for Police earlier that evening.

Three other teens are stable - after being hospitalised with injuries.

Waitemata District Commander Superintendent Naila Hassan says this is a tragic development.

Support is being provided to the boy's family and officers who responded to the crash.
