Health New Zealand's warning about potential measles exposure at Auckland City Hospital's ED - after an infectious person was there for more than nine hours last Friday

Health New Zealand's warning about potential measles exposure at Auckland City Hospital's ED - after an infectious person was there for more than nine hours last Friday

The person travelled to a country with a widespread outbreak - before presenting at the Adult Triage and Clinical Decision Unit between 10.30 am and 7.45 pm.

Anyone in these areas during this time should monitor for symptoms over the next two weeks.

Health New Zealand says this case - and other recent cases in Northland and Queenstown - show measles remains an ever-present threat and highlight the importance of vaccination.
