Students in Auckland's Northcote College will be learning remotely next week, due to a fire-damaged building needing to be cleared

The Ministry of Education and specialist contractors, have advised the school to close, for the safe demolition and removal of a heritage-building destroyed in a fire this week, which includes some asbestos cladding.

The College says all students will be moved to online learning, from Monday to Friday,

They say learning activities will be posted by teachers on Google Classrooms.
