    The Civil Aviation Authority's determined gusty crosswinds were likely a factor in a fatal microlight crash north of Upper Hutt


    Police and rescue services were called to Kaitoke airstrip In November 2020, to find the pilot had suffered fatal injuries.

    An investigation found strong winds likely affected directional control during landing.
