    Auckland City FC are hopeful those who did the hard yards on the pitch will reap some financial reward after their FIFA Club World Cup heroics


    The Oceania representatives at the tournament earned $6 million dollars as a participation fee - and a further $1.6 million for their draw with Argentinian giants Boca Juniors.

    The club are in mediation with New Zealand Football around the distribution of the prizemoney.

    Auckland City General Manager Gordon Watson has voiced where he'd like some of the funds to go.
