    A touching tribute from the family of Susan Knowles, a victim of the Mount Maunganui landslide


    Open Justice reports the 71-year-old, from Ngongotaha, was one of two Rotorua woman killed in the slip which crashed through a campsite last week.

    In total, 6 campers died.

    Her family says she was a mother, sister, aunty, a loving wife, and known as Granna to her grandchildren.

    They've noted the positive impact she's had on many lives, describing her as always being on the go and looking for her next adventure.

    Ms Knowles family has also thanked first responders and iwi, saying their efforts will have had a lasting impact on their lives.
