    Four swimmers have been saved after being caught in a rip at a beach in the Tasman region


    Surf Life Saving says they were alerted by Police of two swimmers stranded on rocks, and two in the water off Wharariki Beach at Cape Farewell just before 11 this morning.

    They were all able to be choppered to safety in under two hours.
