    A person's in hospital in a critical condition, after an apparent firearms incident in Auckland's Papakura


    Police have cordoned off Great South Road after being alerted of the situation just before 1pm.

    St John has taken one person to Middlemore Hospital.

    A witness says she saw St John staff outside the Papakura District Court.

    Police are urging the public to stay clear of the area while cordons are in place.
