Police don't believe the stabbing of a man on Auckland's North Shore yesterday was a random incident

Police don't believe the stabbing of a man on Auckland's North Shore yesterday was a random incident

He was found drenched in blood with multiple stab wounds on Birkenhead Avenue just after 2pm.

Police say the victim underwent surgery at Auckland City Hospital last night.

The man's now in a serious but stable condition, and will speak with Police in coming days.

The manhunt continues for the offender and a search for the vehicle seen fleeing the scene.
