Seven people with links to Destiny Church have appeared in court today on charges relating to disrupting Auckland Pride events

Seven people with links to Destiny Church have appeared in court today on charges relating to disrupting Auckland Pride events

They all face assault charges, and one an additional count of indecent assault.

All but one were denied name suppression - but because of appeals their names are still withheld.

All have been bailed and will enter pleas next month.

Herald reporter Cherie Howie says there was a decent police presence.

She says officers remained inside the court and a number hanging around outside.
