    A fire investigator is on scene of a boat fire in Stanmore Bay, north of Auckland


    Fire and Emergency was called to the blaze at a commercial ship yard on Poplar Lane just before 2.30 this morning.

    The fire was contained to the one 16 metre long vessel, with 12 fire trucks at the scene during its peak.

    Crews remain on site damping down hotspots.
