A fire at a popular Auckland baby boutique has caused around 200-thousand dollars worth of damage

Dimples Newmarket general manager Donna Gillespie says the shop may be closed for a month following Sunday's fire.

She says it appears a window was smashed and petrol was poured on the floor, before the store was set alight.

A 36-year-old man's been charged with arson and will appear in the Auckland District Court.
