Crusaders prop George Bower's ready to slot into the large boots of injured teammate Tamaiti Williams in tonight's Super Rugby Pacific semifinal against the Blues in Christchurch

Williams hasn't been able to shake off a knee injury suffered in last week's win over the Reds.

Bower's no stranger to starting this season - he got through 79 minutes of action against the Brumbies a fortnight ago.

He says the longer stints have instilled confidence.
