Police confirm the body found in a Christchurch carpark yesterday is NOT missing woman Elisabeth Nicholls

Police confirm the body found in a Christchurch carpark yesterday is NOT missing woman Elisabeth Nicholls

Police cordoned off a carpark in the suburb of Riccarton after a person was found dead in the carpark on Leslie Hills Drive after 4.30pm.

Nicholls who's 79-years-old and has dementia, has been missing for a fortnight, after disappearing from Riccarton's Margaret Stoddart Retirement Village.

Police will deploy a drone over the Riccarton and Hagley Park areas between 8am and midday today, as part of the ongoing search for her.
