We can now name the man charged with murdering a Christchurch woman, who was isolating at home with Covid-19

64 year-old Valerie Heaney's body was found in her Bromley home in May.

At Christchurch District Court today, name suppression lifted on Elliot Ajay Prakash, a 43 year-old who was known to Heaney.

Heaney had worked as a carer at a service provider for people with intellectual disabilities.

She had been running her home as a boarding house since the death of her husband 13 years ago.
