The MP for Dunedin says a fatal stabbing at the bus hub this week is both shocking and surprising

The MP for Dunedin says a fatal stabbing at the bus hub this week is both shocking and surprising

The 16-year-old boy died of his injuries - a 13-year-old boy has been charged with his murder.

Dunedin MP Rachel Brooking says the council had heightened security in the hub and on buses, after a string of incidents in the past few years.

She says things had been settled for a while, but had flared up again in the past few weeks.
