Police are appealing for information after a hit and run in Hamilton overnight

A teenage girl suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Boundary Road just before 2 this morning.

Police say the silver vehicle did not stop, and was last seen turning left into Heaphy Terrace.

They say it then continued travelling northbound.

Police want help to identify and locate the vehicle and the driver.
