Two people have pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of a six year old child, in Wellington, in 2023

Two people have pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of a six year old child, in Wellington, in 2023

The ODT reports the pair - who have name suppression - have been accused of neglecting their legal duty to provide the necessaries of life, leading to the child's death.

The alleged incident happened in August 2023.

One of the defendants is a Dunedin woman.

A jury trial for both defendants is expected to be held in the High Court at Wellington in February.
