South Auckland police have tracked down a van believed to be involved in a serious collision with a motorcycle

South Auckland police have tracked down a van believed to be involved in a serious collision with a motorcycle

The crash happened around 7.30 last night at the intersection of Weymouth and Blanes roads in Weymouth.

The motorcyclist was badly hurt and is still at Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.

The van left the scene but police have found it in the wider Weymouth area and have seized it.

Detective Senior Sergeant Albie Alexander says they're still trying to find the driver.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Counties Manukau Police.
