A warning for Banks Peninsula homeowners as tsunami evacuation zones are updated

A warning for Banks Peninsula homeowners as tsunami evacuation zones are updated

Computer modelling shows more homes could be at risk of flooding from a tsunami than previously thought.

Council Civil Defence Emergency Management head, Rob Orchard, says residents should check their property's risk.

He says people in the tsunami evacuation zone need an action plan in case a strong earthquake hits.

Residents can check the updates on the Council's website.
