    Police are continuing to make inquiries into a hit and run in the Wellington suburb of Tawa


    A pedestrian remains in a stable condition in Wellington Hospital after being struck by a car while crossing Main Road, just north of Victory Crescent, about 8.40 yesterday morning.

    Police are still trying to identify the driver and the vehicle - believed to be a gold-coloured Daihatsu Charade.
