    A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after an overnight shooting in the Far North

    A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after an overnight shooting in the Far North


    Emergency services were called to the shooting in Mangonui just after 3.30.

    The wounded person was airlifted to Whangarei Hospital in a critical condition, but has since stabilised and is due to undergo surgery.

    Police say inquiries are underway to find the person responsible and to establish what took place.
