    An out of service Auckland Transport bus went up in flame in Birkdale on the North Shore this morning


    Fire and Emergency sent two trucks.

    Auckland Transport says no passengers were on the diesel-powered bus, when staff noticed smoke coming from the engine.

    Video shows plumes of smoke rising from the bus, with visible flames at its rear.
