Christchurch's Mayor hopes offering two sites for a national Erebus memorial, will help those most affected

The Council's put forward Cashmere's Cracroft Reserve and the bank of the Avon River as options for marking the 1979 plane crash in which 257 people died.
Suitable sites weren't found in Auckland, despite most people with connections to the disaster, wanting it in the Supercity.
Phil Mauger says he wants families to look at the proposals.
He says because Auckland was going around in circles, he offered Christchurch to provide a solution for the families.
