    Three people were rescued from the Manukau Harbour last night after their boat took on water near Puketutu Island

    Three people were rescued from the Manukau Harbour last night after their boat took on water near Puketutu Island


    They managed to contact police just after midnight, but they didn't know where they were.

    The three fisherman were located and rescued by 1:30am.

    Police say the trio did all the rights things by having waterproof communication devices, wearing life jackets, listening to rescuer's instructions.

    The family of the fisherman said they were in good spirits once back on shore.
