Chris Hipkins says now is not the time to turn back when it comes to the relationship between Maori and non-Maori

Chris Hipkins says now is not the time to turn back when it comes to the relationship between Maori and non-Maori

The Labour leader is in Northland, where he's been laying setting out what he believes a positive future looks like when it comes to that relationship.

He says there's a clear choice for voters -- continuing to move forward and address the historic discrimination against Maori, or turn back.

Hipkins says we have to keep moving forward as a country -- and that's a question people will be asking themselves as they head to the polls.
