    Two people are critically injured and a third has serious injuries - after a crash between Mangatawhiri and Maramarua, in northern Waikato


    Police say the two-vehicle crash on State Highway 2, happened just before 4.30 - and two people are being airlifted to hospital.

    The highway is closed in both directions.
