A Gang Conflict Warrant is now in place across Hawke's Bay after two gang-related incidents overnight, injuring four people

A Gang Conflict Warrant is now in place across Hawke's Bay after two gang-related incidents overnight, injuring four people

Around 9.30 last night, officers responded to reports of a serious assault on Riverbend Road.

Reports indicated a firearm was discharged, and two people were taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

Several hours later, Police were called to a grievous assault in Hastings, where two youths suffered life-threatening injuries.

The warrant gives officers special powers to search vehicles of suspected gang members.

Additional staff have also been deployed in the region.
