    Nelson Airport's getting a 10-million-dollar upgrade

    Nelson Airport's getting a 10-million-dollar upgrade

The area where planes are parked, loaded, refueled, and maintained - will be fully reconstructed over the next six months.

Chief executive Brendan Cook says the work's been years in the planning - and this will ensure a safer environment for airport operators and passengers.

He says the apron is nearing its end of life, with patch repairs no longer practical or safe.
