A Blenheim man has pleaded guilty to his mother's murder

A Blenheim man has pleaded guilty to his mother's murder

Police launched a homicide investigation after Jennifer Sheehan was found dead at a Muller Road address last November.

Her son, Paul Armon, was arrested shortly after.

Open Justice reports it's believed the date of the offence was November 22 - three days before Sheehan's body was found.

Armon's lawyer earlier called for psychiatric reports to assess his fitness to plea or stand trial, which was scheduled for August 2026.

That date was removed with Armon's guilty plea - however his lawyer will seek further reports before sentencing on June 5.
