An 'A' to 'D' ranking has been introduced, which could see farmers penalised
if their milk doesn't meet fat levels suitable for manufacturing.
GrainCorp Feeds general manager Daniel Calcinai says farmers
are reducing their use of PKE, because it can affect milk's fatty acid profile.
He says farmers are using the new rules as an opportunity to look at what
their cows are eating, and how it can be improved through alternative feed.
