Fonterra farmers believe this season's milk price won't budge much from a new midpoint of seven dollars and 55 cents

Fonterra farmers believe this season's milk price won't budge much from a new midpoint of seven dollars and 55 cents

The dairy co-op shaved five cents off the forecast - which will be finalised later this year.

Federated Farmers Dairy chairman Wayne Langford says this likely indicates the price won't rise.

Langford says he was a bit surprised it didn't lift - but farmers will have few complaints.

Farmers are delighted with next season's record breaking midpoint forecast of eight dollars for next season.
