    Pole vault guru Jeremy McColl is helping vault another Kiwi into the athletics galaxy


    McColl, who's famous for working with Olympic bronze medalist Eliza McCartney, has started coaching 20 year old James Steyn .

    Steyn's improved his personal best by 50 centimetres in the last year, to be within just two centimetres of breaking the national record.

    Steyn says McColl's been immense.



    Steyn will compete at the vertical pursuit in Auckland this afternoon.
