Teenager Sam Ruthe will attempt to become the youngest person to break the four-minute mile shortly at Mount Smart Stadium

The 15-year-old's having a crack at the bar set by Norweigan Jakob Ingebrigtsen , when he was 16-years-old.

He'll be paced by two-time Olympian and training partner Sam Tanner - who's put Ruthe's ability into perspective.

The run is expected around 8:15pm.
