Coach Jon Andrews believes NZ women's team sprint trio upset the odds in claiming Olympic cycling silver

Coach Jon Andrews believes the New Zealand women's team sprint trio upset the odds in claiming Olympic track cycling silver in Paris

Daughter Ellesse, Rebecca Petch and Shaane Fulton powered to the second step of the podium on day one action at the Games velodrome.

Andrews - the coach - says they relished flying under the radar.

The track cycling silver - and paddler Finn Butcher's gold in the men's kayak cross event - leaves New Zealand 12th on the medal table.
