A Wellington City Councillor wants more information from police about a large brawl, involving up to a hundred teenagers

It happened just after 11pm on Stoke Street in Newtown.

Police say the teens threw cans and other objects as about 35 officers moved in to break up the fighting.

One person's been arrested for breaching the peace.

Wellington City Councillor, Fleur Fitzsimons , has asked for a briefing from police to see if there's any lesson for the Council or support the community can provide, including to police.
