David Seymour's urging local leaders to help lift school attendance

David Seymour's urging local leaders to help lift school attendance

The Associate Education Minister's written to mayors across New Zealand, advising them to use the daily attendance dashboard.

The Government's set a target of 80 percent of students attending more than 90 percent of the term, by 2030.

Seymour says the dashboard is a tool for action, with region-specific data.

He's encouraging mayors to compare their region with other parts, and lead conversations on how communities can support schools.
