    A new company is now in charge of Auckland's passenger rail operation


    Auckland One Rail has been awarded an eight-year 1.2 billion dollar contract.

    Auckland Transport says customers won't notice significant change in their day to day journeys.

    The company will be in charge of electrifying the rail line between Papakura and Pukekohe - and the purchase of additional electric train.
