Wellington's water agency is adding two new senior roles

Wellington's water agency is adding two new senior roles

Newstalk ZB can reveal Wellington Water is undergoing a restructure on February 10, as the region's number of leaky pipes reduces.

The agency's hiring a newly-created Chief Operating Officer role, and a Head of Transformation, and no jobs are being cut.

Our newsroom understands Wellington Water wants to bring back in-house some responsibilities previously given to sub-contractors.

The agency says it needs clearer responsibilities, and the COO will oversee more of the day-to-day operations, and treatment plants.
