A group of shareholders is calling for a vote on replacing the current board with one chaired by Rob Hewett -- who chairs meat company, Silver Fern Farms.
Hewett says the current Bremworth's board's failed to grow the company or deliver shareholders value, and the numbers speak for themselves.
The board says the group only owns a minority stake in the company, and didn't engage with the board before calling for the meeting.
