Dairy farmers could be in for two consecutively good seasons for the first time in 25 years

Dairy farmers could be in for two consecutively good seasons for the first time in 25 years

DairyNZ's forecast for the 2025/26 season has milk payout at around 10-dollars-13 cents per kilogram of milk solids.

It's slightly more than the current seasons's average, sitting at 10-dollars-and-4-cents.

DairyNZ Head of Economics Mark Storey says good payout seasons tend to be followed by a significant drop the following seasons.

Touch wood he says we'll break that trend.
