A busy time lies ahead for Christchurch Airport

A busy time lies ahead for Christchurch Airport

Qantas has announced a summer boost for New Zealand flights, especially to Christchurch.

The airline will operate seven additional flights to Sydney and up to three to Melbourne per week, from mid December to late January.

This follows Singapore Airlines adding an extra 46 return flights for the peak summer season.

The Airport's General Manager of Aeronautical Development, Gordon Bevan says they're ready to accommodate the demand.

He says it's about trying to make the peak season last longer so Kiwi's continue to benefit from the inbound tourism.
