    Rises in hydro lake levels - have eased concerns about having enough power this winter


    But Meridian Energy says we're still recovering from dwindling gas supplies.

    Reserves have dropped 27 percent over the past year.

    Chief Executive Mike Roan says in the long-term, renewables will give us a stable energy supply.

    He says we're currently in period needing to patch together solutions, until they can make the renewable transition.
