    ACC estimates an accounting change agreed by the Government means it will pay out seven billion dollars less in claims


    It won't mean any reduction to levies on households and businesses.

    ACC lawyer and researcher Warren Forster says ACC funding has been increasingly steadily over the past 25 years.

    But he says the gap between what it has and what it needs has been growing.

    He says it's been recalculated and now is back in the same territory as previous years.
